Columns and beams to an NC file

in development

Stek-Profiel does for profiles what Stek-Plaat does for plates: pick a profile, set the length, add cuts and holes, and get an NC file for the drilling and sawing line. The tool is still in development.

Included in Workshop Pro and Business, once it is ready.

What you will do with it

Pick from the common series

IPE, HEA, HEB, HEM, UNP, UPE, hollow section (SHS, RHS), tube (CHS), angle and flat bar. Pick a profile and the dimensions and weight per metre come with it.

Cuts at both ends

Mitre and angled cuts at head and tail, with the resulting saw lengths — so the sawing line gets what actually has to be cut.

Holes on every face

Holes on the top and bottom flange and both web sides, single or as a pattern. The tool warns you when a hole falls outside the profile.

An NC file out

A DSTV NC1 file with profile, length, cuts and holes in it — the same format you know from Stek-Plaat, but for profiles.

Frequently asked questions

When can I use Stek-Profiel?

There is no date on it. The tool works in principle, but it is not finished enough to rely on as a customer. Once it is, it opens up for Workshop Pro and Business.

Do I have to pay extra for it?

No, not if you have Workshop Pro or Business — it is included in those plans. It cannot be bought separately.

How is it different from Stek-Plaat?

Stek-Plaat is for plate work: outlines, holes and bolt patterns. Stek-Profiel is for bar: a profile cut to length, with cuts and holes.
